Project Overview
Working closely with the Starbucks in-house design team, we developed an indigenous style fish scale graphic that was applied to the surface of large format Etna Lavastone panels by a screen printed glazing technique. The motif was fired to 1200 degrees centigrade to create a permanent fixed glaze – a method that can even be applied to exterior locations, e.g. cladding to a building.
Following an extensive £1.5 million refit, and in keeping with the flagship nature of the location, visitors to the Starbucks coffee shop in Gatwick’s south terminal are now greeted by this impressive new feature wall.
